Ok, my fault of course. Coming home tonight, green light at last in traffic, lady in front drives on, as do I, then for reasons inexplicable even now she stops dead halfway over junction. She'd been pretty dithery prior, so I should have been more alert. Again, my fault.
Anyway, by crikey, sudden flashing red lights in my windscreen, beeping, and the car jams on brakes HARD, making us both squeak. And we stopped I guess about a foot from her rear bumper.
Good old Volvo just saved me a lot of hassle and probably a load of cash. I do like City Safe!
New Renault will not have anything like it of course, so will have to Pay More Attention.

As mentioned before this happened only once in my old Volvo (unplanned)....ideal in queues as well...plonk on the active cruise and then the car does the rest.
