That must be as far off road as that tractor ever goes. :-)

There's a fair bit of condensation...is he living in it?
|
|
I see you've got Lud's Roller in the album under 'hideous'.
|
We know where you live Sir.
Mind how you go.

>>is he living in it?
Could be a she, or a he she.

Outrageous.......wouldn't get that kind of parking in our local Waitrose :-)

That reg no. would be ideal for me: BA07 DOG

Blimey - took a while for that penny to drop

Years ago friends of mine applied to DVLC for the registration K9 BED. Must have been 20 years ago when K plates were issued? They were in the pet trade (Danish Design Pet Products) and put it on one of their vans. My old Westie, Buster Jake, BJ to his friends, dead over ten years now, modelled their tartan coats & beds when a pup.....Royal Stewart and two other tartans I seem to recall.
I wonder if he still features on their website?

Best car number locally IMHO is
M1NCE on a van - He is a butcher that also owns M2NCE which is a very poor 2nd on his MB.
|
|
Spotted a Chrysler/Lancia Ypsilon t'other day bearing YP51LON. Not bad.
|
I rather enjoyed seeing one on a car which was clearly newer than the plate which was AR51GET
I wondered if I knew him from somewhere.
Edit - there used to be a publican in Edinburgh who had 50 BER

There used to be a blue Yaris in my part of the world. FEK 1T. Not seen it for a while....the plate was probably worth a lot more than the car.
|
|
I think it was an elderly person who owned that car & plate. Wouldn't be at all surprised if someone had made an offer that couldn't be refused.
|
Robert Bourne, patron of the arts - especially theatre.
Has the plates "2 BE" and "NOT 2B".
|
That must pose a difficult question each morning.
I followed LO02 BOG this morning. You can guess what it was carrying.
|
We now appear to have a locally based plumber working for a very large London based plumbing company.
As is the norm for the company, it's" cherished" number plate, 80 G.
That plate would have not been cheap but all down on company expenses ?
|
>>there used to be a publican in Edinburgh who had 50 BER
Just off St Andrews Sq in Dublin Street.
He sold up maybe 10/15 years ago & retired - maybe being 50BER for 30 years was too much for him!

Some one at work had AMP 15T-kept wondering why police kept stopping him!
|
....seen by me in Nottingham a few times a good few years ago (on a Bentley from memory or possibly a Rolls ) the plate 130LOX, with the spacing of the 1 and 3 "adjusted".
;-)

Similarly, I spotted OBO 110X once. Can't remember the car, was in Maidenhead I think.

Black RR Sport when I saw it on the M40 near Bicester. That was 2010; may be on something else by now.
|
I saw a battered old Mk2 mondeo estate on the M3 t'other day, with some old trout at the wheel, the number plate was TOYnnn or nnnTOY can't remember which (where n = number).
Whats that all about?

Probably Lud in his Bentley. Did you happen to notice if the gent was wearing white moccasins?
:}

The one I saw many years ago-?on a Cortina, which still makes me smile at the memory, was BMP 2A.
On the left of the plate was written TA RA RA.
I suppose you would have to be an old codger for it to mean anything.

Many years ago, certainly early '80s at the latest, there was a guards red Porsche 911 lurking around north London with TUR 80 on it. It was alleged to belong to a footballist or footballists manager. ( what do they actually do anyway other than say, "right chaps, it's really very simple, be sure to kick the ball into the opposition goal as often as possible and try awfully hard to stop them kicking it into ours. Understood? Jolly good, carry on.")

Hmm, have you tried. "Right Dear its really very simple, there is a sticky out bit on the left, and a sticky out bit on the right, do try and guide them both between gaps at the same time. Understood? Jolly Good, carry on"

In the early 80s that Porsche was in the Wokingham/ Bracknell area.
|
|
Maybe he had a bit on the side in Hampstead?
|
|
Spotted NON 1X in Stoneleigh a few years ago , rumoured to belong to a local Madam......

Anyone want to buy mine...? P444NUT. Ideal for the folically challenged. Tongue in cheek I contacted United Biscuits to see if they wanted to put it on a KP van. No reply of course.
In a previous life I spent days looking for a first car for the ex's youngest. She turned down Micras, Yarii, Polos then when my back was turned went out with mother, who have a combined car knowledge around zilch, and bought a hugely overpriced rust bucket Ka. It was written off by her within months, and I put the plate on retention. After a couple of years I thought I might as well use it!

I used to see it quite often on the A322 when I was doing the Bracknell commute. I guess that the driver lived somewhere south of M3 J3. The plate was swapped onto a Guards Red 944 in the late 80s.
