The water has shorted the wiper motor and caused the trouble, that's why.

Just drive your Chevy on land and everything will be all right.

We had one of them thar GM Acadias as a hire car in the states this summer. Fortunately in 2,500 miles there was only 1 wet day and the car didn't fry. Good old-fashioned cheaply built US SUV. Great out there but would be hopeless in Europe.
