 I think I get it - ....
We've been driving around Lanzerote for the past few days 3 adults, two children. My conclusion, when I retire in 20 odd years, a Citroen Berlingo or equivalent might fit the bill if I'm lucky enough to still be a coffin dodging oxygen thief.

With a 1.6 diesel it can shift amongst the WTF am I doing Brits. 2.0 turd is F1 on the island vs the taxi drivers.

When out camping with a couple of mates some (many) years ago, one night matey 1 borrowed matey 2's brand new expensive head torch to explore the site facilities, as they say.

Not only did he drop the phone, as described, he also lost said borrowed head torch in a futile attempt to see where it had gone, and it promptly followed the phone down to a watery grave with what was described afterwards as a clattering squelch.

At that point he decided the situation was a write off, and to matey 2's bewildered rage, flushed them both in a fit of pique.
