While the "two idiots" bear prime responsibility I don't think the other drivers cover themselves in glory either. The car cam guy followed a bit close to a situation that clearly had potential to develop into harsh braking or a collision in the lane he was travelling in. The truck driver presumably could also see what was happening and could have backed off to create a gap and let tempers subside. After all it was developing over a couple of minutes when you would hope those not directly in the idiots' red mist would have taken self-preserving action.

It looked like the truck did slow down, so the pick up did as well, which was why the camera car suddenly caught up with them before backing off again.

Not much the truck could do and the camera car looked safe enough to me.

The pick up was being a plonker, in response to the car's earlier display of plonkery, but what a dumb way of dealing with it by the car.

I bet he wishes he'd just waited, because it'll all be coming off his insurance.

You can say that again Perro, as many times as you like. Utterly crap driving by all concerned.

That sort of murderous idiocy isn't uncommon in America. I was damn nearly killed, or got my car wrecked with serious injury to me, in New Jersey, route 101 I think, in a scenario very like that one, except for the crash. Very hairy indeed, and if there hadn't been a very tight and narrow hard shoulder it would have been curtains for the car and hospital for me, some carphound matching speed with me to prevent whatever it was they wanted to prevent. Scheissglumpwaregts!

Had to sit there for five minutes waiting for my racing heart to slow down, no kidding.
