I have had a look on Autotrader and they don't seem a bad buy. I was wondering whether to flog the Pajero (18 mpg) and get a 5 door Vitara for lugging the Dawgs about and quite possibly petrol.
Do they have the same selectable 4x4 as per my old Jimny and are there any known faults/rust issues etc.
It would appear that for 3k or under I could 'come up' 7-8 years in age. Any thoughts please?

We had one as a hire car some 13 years ago in France. I remember it as being really quite small on the inside for 2 of us and a 6-month old baby, despite its external dimensions. It drove as one would expect, I seem to recall.

An extensive test then BB :-0)

I'd have thought, for the purposes you describe, and at the price level you mention, it'd be fairly much ideal.
I'd not expect it to be a sports car though.
And you could go into mobile hairdressing quite convincingly if the building thing falters so all good really.

After having a Postam Pat Jimny I don't think there's any *iss left to take.
