I once passed an "Elderly People" sign, underneath which someone had added "f***ing" in black marker pen. Tickled me more than it should have.

That's lovely!

While we're on signs, years ago I was shown a street in Malta called 'Street of the Immaculate Conception'. Nothing strange about that, in a Catholic country - but underneath there was a sign saying 'No Entry'.
