I'm sure there was a thread on this, but I can't find it.
Short story, foreign driver, wrong way down the slip road, thus facing wrong way on motorway, did a u-turn to go along the motorway the right way.
Nobody hurt, nothing damaged.
I'm guessing he must also have gone round the junction roundabout the wrong way in order to get down the off-ramp.
Bad mistake on the roundabout, bad mistake on the slip road, but then what? A highly illegal maneuver to be sure, but it appeared that he had plenty of space and it was at least reasonably safe. I guess he could have sat there and called the police, but that would have been his only alternative.
Nonetheless, 15 month suspended prison sentence? Surely a bit over the top?

It would seem he left the M6 for the M6 toll, but when he got to the toll barriers either didn't have the means or inclination to pay. I assume he must have done another U-turn off camera.

>> Bad mistake on the roundabout, bad mistake on the slip road,
Not sure I call it a mistake, bit more than that. Seems fair enough it was suspended.

Looks like it is the exit to the A5/A5148/A5127 roundabout near Wall Island.
I guess he took the exit from the roundabout for the vehicle checkpoint and found his way onto the toll from there.
Otherwise he would have had to go through the toll booths the wrong way!
