It's always interesting to see ordinary family cars in these events, not just sports cars.

I've just been reading about A Conan Doyle. Apart from promoting loads of other sports and filling his life with good deeds, he also competed in the 1911 Prince Henry Trials.
He drove the family car, complete with wife.
