Kawasaki have launched a 1.0 litre four cylinder motorbike with a supercharger producing 300, yes you read that right 300PS/~296bhp.
They've fitted wings to the bodywork to keep it stable above 200MPH.
It's a track only toy. There will be a road going version with 'only' 200PS to keep within the gentleman's agreement of 300kph/186MPH.
Cars, pah! Ancient history !!!
|
The vehicles I have done the most miles in have been nuclear powered, turbo charger, pah, try steam turbines. :)
|
Yeah ! but they didn't have a chain drive.
Shock, horror 300PS through 4 cylinders, 1.0 litre and a supercharger.
She's gonna blow Spock !
Steam turbines, Pah! Aren't they what spin in power stations at less than 3,000rpm?

Pfftt
I have driven one that only had two cylinders but over 3000hp and 32,000 lbf of torque.
|
|
I'm guessing that was bopping a massive 450rpm.

Piece of Kwap.
I heard this has a Kizashi engine:

Really? I thought a Hayabusa was only 1.3 litres. That would be a very thick block to fit a 2.4 too

Pretty sure the squeezed in a CVT box too ;-)

no, to be fair it was over 90 tonnes.

Only a shunter. I've driven a spaceship (Z will know what I mean) ;-)

Ha! For a carthorse they could certainly gallop a bit.

Lets give the minions a clue.
I have driven a 7MT, and the hells angel has driven a 9F

I've just revisited this on Youtube;

Quite apart from the evocative archive footage, it captures a lost era perfectly.

3,600 to produce 60hz. 3,000 produces 50hz, not a NATO frequency.
The propulsion turbines are obviously variable speed and produce about 40,000 shp.
