I've had it for a week or three. I have now bought another vehicle, and want to sell the Passat.
It's a 1.8 saloon, "N" reg., '96. It's not bad to look at, although some laquer is peeling where an "L" plate was pulled off by someone, there are a couple of peely patches, a small rust bubble on the bottom of the N/S/F door, and the exhaust middle box is blowing - the "in" pipe weld-to-box has failed. That's about it, I think. It's got T&T to mid/end of October. It's been giving me 40+MPG, just tootling about, no burn-ups or motorways. The inside is really quite good! Doesn't burn oil. Hey! Enough! Anyway, I shouldn't be putting an ad. here!
So, do I fix the middle box, or just mention it? £40+ from "motorbits", £65 fitted from National.

It has an obvious MOT failure coming up in October. I wouldnt buy it unless the box was fixed.

Fix it and bump up your price by the value of the part.
