Drove alomg the A69 today from Newcastle airport back to M6 and back up the road.
Speed limits in a couple of villages confused me - NSL signs approaching the villages but then attached to signs in the villages were signs saying max speed 40, not proper speed signs as such.
So slow to 40 but then realise there are no other signs at other end of village saying NSL again but on one there is a speed camera warning sign with the NSL sign on it.
So is the 40 just an advisory?
Would need to check map for exact villages but at the M6 side of the road.
