It doesn't work for me, I shop at Quality Save [home bargains clone, separate company but same supply chain and prices] , Heron, Aldi and just about any where else the 'poor' shop. Yet I still don't have a Ferrari, although if I shopped at Tesco all the time I probably would not have the money to even go to Spain.
My mate went into his local Co-Op to buy a pot noodle after a couple of naughty early evening pints on a Thursday, he paid £1.32 and thought nothing of it, I pay £1.50 for two and think that is expensive.
So shop at Aldi and you might be able to afford a FIAT Panda :).

One drawback seems to be that it makes things affordable that weren't previously. I just bought an Aldi cordless drill for £20 to replace my rather tired existing one, which still works. So, more stuff, but no more money...
