Amphibious cars are rubbish, neither one thing nor the other, lousy cars and lousy motor boats. They sink easily too. Even if I collected cars I wouldn't want one.
There was an amphibious Jeep developed during WW2. One of my old man's assistants had one in Ceylon. It was like a small DUKW, painted my favourite Admiralty matt grey, with a propeller visible under the rear. Apparently it was steered by its front wheels at sea as on land. I loved the thing but was assured rather emphatically that it no longer floated. Nor would the old man consider using it himself.

Having seen the video now, I must admit that that one seems quite good in both guises... but it's a promotional video so showing off the product at its best.
I would still expect it to swamp easily, and it must actually be very expensive indeed to go like that. I still don't want one.
