My KIA is fine in any car park and I don't give a stuff what anyone thinks. :-)

very pleased to hear that Old Navy, but not all people have that sort of self confidence!
|
>> Waitrose - Audi
The Audi seems to dominate in our local Waitrose as well.
Edit. And Co-op - Taxi.

My daughter told me a story of street life up her way, in Holloway. Bunch of, er, chavs outside pub or betting shop lined up on the pavement smoking.
Metrosexual chappie minces past, stepping into the road and waving his hand under his nose in disgust. One of the chavs barks: 'Well yer should't've walked past then should ya?'
Very witty I thought, but it wouldn't have been a meeting of minds.
As for cars and supermarkets, what a steaming pile of horse droppings. Crappety-crap, chaps.

It will frequently been seen parked outside any brand of supermarket which is on a garage forecourt while you are waiting for the AA to turn up to recover it

With the occupants mouthing "help" to passers by through a window which won't open. Probably on behalf of the pair of legs sticking out of the boot where the hatch has slammed on the rest of the body.

My local Lidl and Aldi have their fair share of Mercs, BMWs etc on their car parks...
|
I get some things at ALDI (and recently Vernaccia wine from LIDL) and I could be driving Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc. But currently drive a VW. But my wife would stop me buying an Audi A8 tomorrow I think... Could but wouldn't.
EDIT: And that was a new A8 not the £500 one bought in another thread... I just wish there were more threads along the lines: "I've got £xxxx" and what might be a good investment for 12 months.

That's a shame as drivethedeal.com are doing A8s at around 30% discount just now.
4.2 V8 TD SE Exec at £51k (from £72k), or a 'junior' 3.0 V6 TD SE for £40k (from £59k)
Similar discounts on petrol ones eg. £21k off the list price of an S8.
Of course that probably covers only about 60-70% of the first year's depreciation but it's better than a poke in the eye....
|
There are plenty of people who can afford to buy "Prestige" cars, it is the running costs that can be a problem. I know of a few folk who have an expensive ornament on their drive, whether they can afford to fill it up regularly is a totally different matter.
|
"I've got £xxxx" and what might be a good investment for 12 months.
Not a car, anyway. Or any mechanical device that can't work for its keep.
Shares in Aldi or Lidl might be a better prospect...
|
" I've got £xxx and I am looking for a new toy boy/girl" might be a little more interesting.
