2 days in a row notices in a leading UK paper on the deaths of 2 x Japanese industry leaders whose products are known throughout the world
Who, from our shores, would command column inches in a Japanese paper?
I think the list be very short.
Suggestions please

Toyoda worked for Ford in the 1930's.

Respect seems to mean different things in Japan, i prefer their version where people don't get replaced once they turn a certain age or don't quite look the part anymore.
I suspect a respected western industry leader who had been at the helm for almost a lifetime after working their way up would be revered in the Japanese press.
I wonder what they would make of our politicians and their perverted version of honour.

Don't worry GB, Japan's version of honour is quite, quite perverted too.
