Pop up advert for Europcar offered hires from £12.00 / day - sounded cheap so tried a weekend hire @ Stirling return Stirling and it came out @ £136 for the cheapest car, in a months time it dropped to £70+ - still 2 x the daily "headline rate"

To get the cheapest rate you could hire at Milton Keynes. Newcastle & Worcester (IIRC)

Maybe the Europcar advertising experts used to work for a "discount airline"

As someone who regularly hires from Europcar for long and short durations I've never managed to get the £12 a day "offer" to work for me! Even a VW Up comes out at about £21 a day.
