Quick question for the more traveled here.
I'm off on business to France again on Wednesday, but have changed my usual route to Lyon. Instead I'm flying to Geneva and driving across into France.
Its a long time since I crossed the border this way, and a quick check on google maps tells me that there are tolls, but its not clear if they are before or after the Swiss border.
I'm trying to work out if I need to have any swiss francs available for tolls. If not, then I can just stick with euros rather than be stuck with the francs

The (general) tolls in Switzerland are on the motorways only (unless you are an HGV), and are levied by use of an "annual" vignette (at, AFAIR, a rate of 40SFr).
It would appear that as you are flying to Geneva, a hire car will be involved. I would be very surprised if this didn't come already equipped with the required vignette. You may wish to check with the hire firm.

Wot 'e said.
When I flew to Geneva a few years back I hired a car that was so equipped.
AFAIK there are no "tolls" as such - no barriers with cash/credit cards involved, as in France.

Brilliant, no need for a handful of francs then!
