I had a stone hit the base of the windscreen last month and eventually (a week later) crack and need replacing. I think a cow would have done it straight away.

I do hope the cow was not too injured but fear there was internal injury.

Exactly my thought. Should have been on the brake as soon as the first cow hove into sight. Although the 'happy couple' only shambled into the webcam's view at last minute driver had plenty opportunity to see sooner.

My thoughts as well, but if you watch the Russian car crashes on YT there seem to be an awful lot of drivers who just bladder into obvious situations at high speeds.

I'm not sure a cow would have had either the expertise to change a windscreen or the necessary parts. :-)
