 Renault Megane Coupe + Cabrio - scrapping a car - cubleader
hi
my girlfriend is scrapping her megane after it destroyed bottom end of the engine. She has been offered an amount of money for it by a scrap removal company. what we are trying to work out is what part of the v5 she has to fill in as its not overly clear.

Section 9 is the key one on a new red v5 get the scrapper guy to sign and fill in his bit and send it to Swansea

Make sure you get the acknowledgement from Swansea call them if you haven't got it after 2-3 weeks

I scrapped a car a couple of months ago. If you use a reputable, DVLA-authorised ELV (End of Life Vehicle) agent there should be no problems. The scrapyard I used (not DVLA Swansea) sent me an official DVLA certificate of destruction within a couple of days.
