Road pricing and the coalition - Brentus
Has anyone read the Telegraph motoring section yesterday. Mike rutherford asked the Fib Dem HQ about the motoring and transport aspect in thier manifesto. They clearly stated they will prepare for road pricing. When questioned by Rutherford they have failed repeatedly to answer. So like he says that says it all.

what does it say?

It could say "yes it will happen but people wont like it"
or
"yes it was in our manifesto, but the tories wont let us do it"

It won't happen on existing roads, but might happen on new roads (like M6 toll road). Rutherford had space to fill, so filled with, er, filler.

..."yes it was in our manifesto, but the tories wont let us do it"...

And: "Give us a chance, we haven't a clue how this coalition m'larkey is going to work yet."
