In the sixties, saw late at night several big cardboard cartons of frozen beef scattered across the road at Highbury Corner roundabout, stopped and put one in the boot. There was a bit of that purple dye one used to see on some of it.

Our baby-sitter's boy friend, a thuggish young butcher who carried an extremely sharp knife, cut some off and we ate it. It wasn't very nice. I wonder if that was because it had been free?

Running low on steering fluid so a bit of an occasional whine from the powered rack. The car's rump or scrag end is covered with mud and so is the nearside which runs in the muddy gutters. So I always approach it from the silver side when meaning to get into the saddle.

There's a little hole in some filler in one of the rear wings. It annoys me and I keep meaning to get more filler and fill it.

Poor old driver made a simple missteak, got into a stew and got a right old ribbing when he got back to the depot. All because his pace was a bit brisket, his topside moved and he got t-boned in the flank.

The spine was flowing again by 18:45. Mildly amusing to here BBC R5L announce solid queues from J15A back to Catthorpe while seeing M1 lowing freely past Kislingbury.
