japan ? lorry driver was sitting on the right side of the vehicle , but the hard shoulder on the right hand side with the coaches parked up suggest otherwise... im confused

When the scooter boom was at it's height it was the fashion among the yoof to ride with the helmet strap undone. I would guess hers was or was way too loose.

Some French yoof used to ride with their helmets slung over one shoulder. I supppose the law said "wear" but not necessarily "wear on the head with the strap secure".
