Saw this for the first time last night and laughed out loud (woman at the fruit & veg stall):

I think VW (or whoever it is they hire) do some of the best ads - the Darth Vader Passat one was another:

Good ads (and I don't do ads!)

For what it's worth, the car was registered in Stanmore.

I heard a great VW advert on the radio yesterday. The voice of Prof Stephen Hawkings saying how he has spent his life working on the mysteries in the universe, etc. and then he says "now there is a new mystery. A new VW for £7995. That does my head in." Very funny when you hear it.

Another of the current TV ads (newsagent):

I feel like complaining about the latest VW adverts on the grounds that a) you can't buy a VW like that and b) the person selling it didn't spend 2 hours ramming finance, GAP, paint protection etc etc down the buyer's throat!
VW dealer salespeople must be thrilled by those ads though - it shows what VW think of them.

My life already...........

Maybe its me but i am totally unimpressed by the VW ads.

Each to their own. I like the Darth Vader one.
|
I like clever ads, it means someone's made an effort to entertain as well as sell.
I can't abide ' shouty ' ads...put me reet off their products !
I'm not likely to be tempted by a free ' Parker ' pen either....made in Taiwan for 6 pence.

Of course, this will always be the best VW add for me:

The classic "If only everything in life was as reliable as a VW".
|
I used that ad's strap-line to get two VWs fixed. :-) And they were in the end.
