A car maker's sense of humour - Iffy
I clicked on the banner ad on this site for the Mitsubishi ASX Crossover, and up popped the following message:

Something's gone wrong!
There is a problem with the page: www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/asx/special-offers.aspx. But don’t worry! We already know about it and will have our techies humiliated until they fix it.
In the meantime, why not look at the working parts of the site?

Very droll.

When youtube goes down its says "A team of monkeys has been dispatched to fix the problem"

Clicking that link, I get this:

"That page does not exist!
It appears that the page you’re looking for doesn’t exist.
Would you like to try a different route?"

its not fixed, merely a "work around"

If its not broke, dont touch it.

If its broke, hide it.

Looks like it was an iffy link in the OP. ;)

See Vxfan's explanation below.

That's because of the full stop at the end of the link

Try this one

www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/asx/special-offers.aspx

And you get the OPs message that he got (until they fix it anyway)

They've fixed it! (for me)

I cut and pasted the extract in one piece from the website, so the full stop was already there.

Presumably because there's no point in click linking to a page you are already on.

Seems Mitsubishi's sense of humour has failed along with its site.

The message now reads:

Something's gone wrong!
There is a problem with the page: www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/asx/index.aspx. But don’t worry! We already know about it and are working on fixing it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, why not look at the working parts of the site?

Sometimes Fir efox fails to start up on my computer, and it shows a message which begins "Well, this is embarassing." At leat they're honest.
