IOM Ferry fm Liverpool - Rhubarb
Hi. We are taking a car on the IOM ferry from Liverpool tomorrow. The blurb says you can arrive up to 2hrs 30 mins before last check-in which is at 10:30 AM. We are only about 40 minutes drive away and I was thinking of leaving before 9 allowing a good margin to arrive by 10 at the latest. Can anyone who has used this ferry tell me if there's a need or any advantage in arriving earlier? Cheers - R

Don't know about the IOM service but I used to use the Stranraer - Belfast route a lot and provided they hadn't actually pulled the ramp up you'd get on if there was room and security were in a good mood.

Edit - Never tried it in the E-Class mind...

Don't know about Manx ferries but on CalMac first arrivals are usually first on and first into the cafeteria!!

Thanks both for your replies. Having conferred with our co-travellers, it seems we are now going earlier than first intended so we'll be there 'in plenty of time'. :-) Cheers & thanks again - R
