my wife has just come home to say she has seen a car she likes to replace her c3 picasso.

its a new astra 2.0 deisel elite spec. has anyone got this astra and the engine combination. she has a dodgy back and said the leather supportive seats are only found on the elite model. should be a lot quicker than her 90hp picasso though
the list price is a huge 24k but she said they were open to good negotiations.

I had a Insignia as a hire car with the 160PS engine in SRi trim. I was impressed with the engine. Actually, in SRi trim the Insignia I had was also quite good. I would imagine the Astra would be similar.

Are the seats different in the Elite spec compared to the other models in the range apart from being covered in leather?

yes the seats are different. i told her to get a test drive of at least an hour in the elite spec and if they wont do that then find a vx garage that will. they have diiferent supoports for lumbar etc.

just been to look at a golf match 1.6tdi 105ps.
plenty of kit but a little sparse looking but looked well put together

Unless Golfs have changed, one thing they used to be known for was their hard seats.

peogeot 3008 ( aghhh over my dead body)
insignia sri 160 hp but she thinks my xj will be too big but i cant see the jaguar being much bigger than the insignia
