 Vauxhall Agila A - 06 1.2 eps - slowdown avenue
unbelievable. tonight engine running car in gear , let the clutch up and it dosen't engage somebody else tryes it , the same . turn off engine, restart a bit later and all is well. get home and eps light stays on and now engine management light has appeared. rang my mechanic and hes not heard off that before, but taking it there friday to get it code read

it might just be a cold weather syndrome error as too much was going from the battery and it flagged the eps to save power
i had this very problem on a punto today as it came out of the mot station with an advisory free pass,so it does happen
a code reader might not show a code, you may need something a little better to read its hairy bits

computer said . no faults recorded.
only used the car lightly since , but its driven ok ,no lights showing.
it does have an old battery from a previous old astra
