Engine cut out twice yesterday whan travelling at speed (~60mph). Re-started almost instantly.

Similar symptoms to when I had to replace the MAF? sensor in the Pug

Any other common problems it could be?

Will be the new year now before it's looked at, unless I can arrange something inbetween.

Possibly a 'leaky' injector. (Air getting in) or a fuel rail pressure sensor. Fault code readers do not necessarily give a complete picture. Our findings show that faults registered to Glow plugs may not be as they seem. As a slight aside, advice from the guys at Electro Diesel in Exeter say that all Common Rail diesels should start without glow plugs and that they are fitted to reduce emissions on start up! Another EU load of bull I guess. A week ago my van started without plugs in minus 4 Deg.

Maybe? I remember my Mondeo though with this fault and the only symptom was excessive smoke out the back.

they can cause rough running, and limp home mode failures.
