 FIAT Punto II - 99 1.2 Run out of petrol now not starting - Stevek100
Hi Folks

Can anyone help me please? I suspect I may need to clean the fuel filter but where is it on this car and will I need any special tools to do it?

Fuses etc all look Ok so this is my last guess-unless you know different.

Appreciate any help.

Someone with proper experience will be a long in a minute but...

eurocarparts.com shows a bosch (with a picture of a hengst :-) fuel filter for £8, probably worth just changing it anyways?

From the type shown in the picture, that's going to be under the car near the fuel tank i think (i could be talking out my backside) but it'd be easy to spot i'd think.

I don't know what the clips will be like, i had a world of pain with the ones on my wee Golf.

Top tip -- *don't* burn the spare petrol off in your barbeque ;-) The flames go high enough to toast your next door neighbours patio heater cover.
