I,m about to change the rear discs on my sons 51 reg Polo.Is the rear disc the same as the front, ie held on with 1 screw or does the hub nut have to come off and the outer race of the wheel bearing swapped over?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi,
I believe it's the same setup as on the mk4 Golf from around that time, but worth double checking.
If it is, there's just the 1 screw holding the disc on. The hardest bit for me was getting the handbrake cable free enough to allow the caliper to come off - the caliper comes off towards the back of the car, so you really need to slacken the handbrake adjuster inside the cabin (under the arm rest assembly so a bit of fiddling with trim removal).
Hope this helps

I always use the Apec brake guide online. Fantastic resource for sorting out the correct brake parts.
If this works it should take you to the Polo page...

You'll see it looks a 50-50 choice between the DSK213 with integral hub or the DSK2165 that's just a disc.
Worth pulling a wheel off to see before ordering parts.
