Lexus - TPMS warning light - MGspannerman
Recently on my aged Lexus NX the tyre pressure light has been coming on briefly and then off. Tyres were checked, all ok, and with the MOT imminent it was a matter of crossed fingers that it didn’t come on when being tested. Fortunately all ok.

We were then away for a few days over which the light started flickering, staying on and unpredictably going off. I took it to my local tyre dealer, a young lad checked tyre pressures and announced all was good. I explained the symptoms and suggested the sensor battery in one tyre was low. He spoke to his mate and then the boss, who got a signal tester out. It turned out that two sensors had gone and needed replacing.

The lad said it was a Lexus job - “we cant do them” - but the boss thought otherwise. He was able to read the code using his tester gadget, coded two new sensors and the whole job done in less than 30 minutes at a cost of £150.

I think a lesson here is that experience counts!
