I filled up my Aunt's Fiesta for her yesterday and I noticed it did not have a petrol cap. I mentioned this to her and she said the dealer told her they were all like that.
Is this correct? It seems absolutely ridiculous. There is nothing to stop someone putting something in her tank (there is no lock on the filler flap) and there doesn't appear to be anything to stop petrol vapor escaping into the air.

Yep. Something Ford have been doing for quite a while now.

Unless it's missing, there should be a plastic nozzle somewhere in the car so that if you run out of fuel, you can fill up from a can. IMHO it looks like a shewee.

Not it is not correct. It is FEWER, not LESS.

Looks similar to the set up on the crv. Its got a rubber type of seal on the door. Not sure if there's some sort of emergency jobbie thing.

The emergency filler funnel should be on the tool kit . (It is on mine ) . The fuel flap door locks with the central locking system.
|
Cheers I'll go have a look today.

All our Ford vans at work and any Ford hire cars I’ve had, it’s been in the glove box.

Are you referring to comments made in the vid clip?

Thanks - the flap locking with the centralised locking makes sense.
