When my Vectra-C wouldn't tick over properly, the fault code readout said it was the MAF (Mass Air Flowmeter). I fitted a replacement MAF and the problem went away. Definitive enough for me.
You said the fault light is on, hence there's probably a stored fault code waiting to be read out. Alternately just keep guessing.
