 Ford Fiesta - Air con problems. - Oldgit
Today my sister turned on her manual air con and although the orange switch light came on there was no click or clunk indicating clutch engagement. Needless to say the incoming air didn't feel at all chilled.
What is the best way to proceed from here. Go to a main dealer or get in one of the many mobile home visiting firms?

I'd go to an aircon specialist with his own premises.

If he can't fix it I bet he'll have a fair idea what it is. I use a small independent in Bicester who is always fair.

They came up in a Google search. They've certainly got a lot to say for themselves haven't they? I live in South London/Kent and so could use them.

I live a few miles outside their normal mobile range.
Rather than meet at some place inside their range it was easier for me to go to their base.
I have met Dad, Mum, son and their hound at their home.
Very satisfied with the job they did on my Mondeo. It needed a new compressor but in anticipation of the " usual" failure they had a radiator waiting ready to swop.
I was very satisfied with their service and their prices.

Did have it regassed and checked over by diagnostic equipment in the process and it was superb for a few days but after about 3 weeks it has failed again. We are selling the car now but not just because of this but because the ride is bone jarringly awful and so time to move on to a new Hyundai i10 SE.
