hi room, ive had the calipers off (front) and one of the slider pins wont budge, ive gave it a dose of wd40 but to no avail...was considering applying some heat from a gas torch but im worried it may snap in situ , any ideas...thanks zoo

WD40 won't penetrate, you need plusgas or summing similar

I've always found 3-in-1 effective, if you can get it to where you need it.

If you take the rubber gaiter off, and soak the area in fluid (WD40, plus gas, whatever you've got), and leave it a while, and then use a spanner or grips on the large flat on the end of the pin, you can usually free these off by turning them - you'll struggle to to get the pin to slide without turning it.
For this type of calliper, you can usually buy new slide pin kits which come with new pins, bolts, gaiters, and the correct grease.
