 Peugeot 406 - 01 2.0 Alarm indicator light not working - TheManWithNoName
My 406 has an alarm indicator light which sits in the middle of the dash at the base of the windscreen.
It has stopped flashing. Havign prised out the light it appears to be an LED rather than a filament bulb and its all housed in a sealed plastic fitting with two wires going into it.
Any ideas why it doesnt flash any more?
The central locking works fine as does the key fob and the fuse is ok.

The alarm may not be setting. My money would be on a faulty door switch. If you have internal movement sensors as part of the alarm, set the alarm but with a window open and wave something (folded up newspaper) through the window. If the alarm goes off then the LED is faulty.
I think the alarm is set by the same remote signal that locks the doors.
