 Volkswagen Polo IV - 04 1.4 Cam Belt change - maltrap
My Polo has a "rumbling" noise coming from the cambelt area. It's done 35k miles & is 8 years old on it's original cambelt. So it's time to renew.The car is petrol,twin cam, engine type, BBY. Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of having this done. Not at a main agent ! Many Thanks.

You'll be wanting to change the water pump as well wont you.....

£140 quid(ish) for cam belt kit and water pump

Two hours labour at say 70 quid an hour.

£280 quid?

Two cam belts on these.It is usually the top belt that causes the problem.hth
