I usually check incoming emails on my iPhone and delete any unwanted ones straight away. Later I read the remainder on my desktop and send any replies from there.

Yesterday I dragged two to a subfolder which seems to have been corrupted last year when some process got interrupted, and those emails 'disappeared'. That wasn't particularly strange, so I thought I would retrieve them from the phone. When I looked at the recent emails they were there for half a second, and then vanished. They weren't in the Bin or Junk or anywhere else. Why (or how) should that have happened ?
