Would it, if it was actually working, show any more information than a weather app on your phone?

Absolutely none.
Tried several changes of batteries from different packets. Left for a couple of days and re booted If i take the transmitter out of range with the receiver it stops but back in range it starts sporadically.
Tried all channels and moved it away from a transmitter in the meter box for the iSolar diverter (solar panels) thinking that might be an issue.
No change so its fair to say I've given up :/

My Watson packed up overnight with low battery in the in house display. 3*AA seems to sort it.

Clock will probably not sync until tonight as propagation of LF signals from Germany is much improved after nightfall.

Any progress with yours?

Thanks.
Yes I have the manual.
Nothing on the display.
All alarm options cleared so shouldn't be giving one.
It has become a mystery.
I do have a transmitter in the electric meter box attached to the solar immersion diverter so I've tried all alternative channels. Never had a beep before the battery change. All new batteries checked.

Do you have the manual?

If not it seems to be accessible on line.

Does anything show on the display when it beeps?

Looks as though it uses the DCF radio time signal - German version of what used to be Rugby now Anthorn. Is it displaying the correct time? We have a Watson W-8681 which uses DCF; it can take a while to resync.

Another possibility would be an alarm for external temperature or atmospheric pressure. We had an Oregon Scientific weather clock that beeped when pressure was low - only ever did it in Autumn/Winter storm season though.

i have one of those LidlyAldi weather stations. Shown as a IAN 282650. No real brand name.

Before it goes out of the window I thought i'd run it past the collective.

I noticed there was no data from the outside sensor so a change of batteries to both the sensor and receiver and set up again.

The receiver is getting the data from the ouside transmitter. Since that time it has been giving a sporadic bleep. No particular time gap. I've reset, several times. Relocated both transmitter and receiver. Checked for alarms. Changed channel (it has 3). etc etc Finally run out of options and it still does it.

If i separate the transmitter and receiver it stops so i think its a transmitter issue.

They are relatively cheap as and when they come on sale in 'man aisle' so a replacement is probably where this will end. But i don't give up that easily :)
