Golf Clubs insurance (Zero) : Non-motoring

Ooo thats a minefield. (1)Stolen from home, its covered by home insurance, your policy may need it listed if its worth above a certain amount.

(2)Car, may be covered if you have that option ticked.

Clubhouse, no not covered you will need other special insurance. (3)

However, your son reckons they are "worth" 2k. As a cobbled together set all second hand, the insurance will almost certainly not agree.

So you need (3). and a lot of supporting documentation to justify the valuation.

Stopped golfing in the early 2000's when a 38 kilo Belgian Sheperd (aka a malinois) at about 30mph pulled my shoulder out of its socket.

Will start by saying I am not a golfer but my son is.

He has accumulated a "set " of golf clubs over the years by buying and selling individual clubs on marketplace etc. So he now has a golf bag with clubs that he reckons is probably worth about £2k.

They are normally stored in a locker at his golf club but if he plays elsewhere, they normally reside in the boot of his car till the next time he is back at the clubhouse.

Other complication is he has recently moved out from ours and now lives with his girlfriend in her one bed flat so no space to take them inside like he used to at ours.

To you golfers out there, how do you insure your clubs , is it just add on to house or car insurance or standalone, and would any insurance actually cover these scenarios of no receipts, car boot, clubhouse etc?
