Most windows remain firmly shut with climate control in use.  Cars could be lighter and more economical if all glass replaced by steel or even simple acrylic panels. </description>

<description>The thinking behind it is that the structural beam the runs across the rear of the roof/top of the back window can restrict rear headroom. 
So move it rearward, behind rear passengers’ heads. Which is where the rear window would be, and use a camera and monitor where the interior mirror lives. 
Rear passengers also gain full use of the sunroof, as the glass roof finishes behind them.  </description>
