Over a period of about 5 days, I put it down to possibly software changeover? Following your comments I then tried using USA as Nordvpn AP, it all worked ok. Went back to using UK AP - problem cleared! Cannot replicate on phone either now! The only thing that I can think is that Bookmarks on Browsers were corrupted?, but I am sure that I had tried to eliminate that on the early fails. I tried UK, US, Azerbaijan, Bahamas and Portugal. NordVPN doesn';t really block servers in the same way that other things do though if you've turned on threat protection it can block ads, trackers, malicious sites - usually with warning IIRC.
