>> Many (many) years ago, a parked lorry reversed gently into Dad-in-law's car, then the driver
>> jumped out shouting 'I never moved'.

Had similar a roughly equal number of years ago.

My Pug 104ZS was parked round a corner from our flat and visible from the kitchen window. Chap manoeuvring a BMC 1100 clearly nudged its front. It had bumpers like a tank and was very unlikely to be damaged but best to check.

As soon as I walked up driver denied anything/everything. Pointed to window I'd been standing by at which point defence turned to a more accurate I only touched.

No damage.

Similar thing to what happened to me.

I pointed to the camera and said

"Your word against the camera. I know who will win"
£100 had the bumper re-aligned with new brackets.
His employer paid me in advance.

PS
My car was stationary, engine off and camera was not recording.

Can't say I find that "amusing".

Had a lorry come along and taken the side off her car, that would have been amusing.

Two amusing little anecdotes about the same car nearby.

Lady reversed rather fast and clipped her morror against a parked delivery van. but gave a tongue lashing to the delivery man for parking (legally) where he was.

This morning the same lady parked on double yellows facing traffic while she did (you've guessed) her make up.
