Vacuuming the car and every time I opened a door a few ladybirds would settle on the rubber strip in the sun. I had to keep flicking them off before I shut a door because I didn't want to squash them. Looked around and there were a dozen or so on the brickwork around the front door of the house.

Took youngrovergirl to addenbrookes for a lecture today. Sis in law and myself used the park and ride and went for a walk by the river. Very pleasant day except for the cyclist who rode into the back of an old lady. She grazed her knuckles and knee. The bike crashed into some metal railings and bent itself. Cyclist needed assistance getting up and tore jeans and a bit shocked. Otherwise ok. Headphones fell off and broke.

Continued our walk and found a cafe for a restorative cuppa.

Ladies in cafe said cyclists are lethal in Cambridge.
Plenty of swans and ducks and a few frisky squirrels but not a butterfly in sight.

>>Best weather day of the week

Bout time! I managed to cut the grass and put away 1.2m² of barn-stored hardwood logs in the store.

Rain on Thursday :)

Very true. Best weather day of the week, or future weeks. Dry all day in my part of the world, long sunny periods and warm enough to sit outside The Boathouse in Skipton taking light refreshment after a stroll from Gargrave.

Mr Bathtub, your butterfly was almost certainly a Brimstone, normally the first to emerge apart from red admirals etc that over winter as adults and only need the temperature to go above 10c to wake up.
Few bumble bees flying in the garden today.
