 Nectar card - Falkirk Bairn
Many years ago I had one of my Credit Cards redirected to a similarly named person at a sink council estate. He also diverted & stole my Nectar Points. How this was done I never found out

We knew where the man lived, Equifax had me living there! BUT the Police were not interested as the "Credit Card/Banks deal with that"
The Nectar issue was modest, say £20/£30, and I just cut it up. No Nectar Card since.

The Credit Card was serious. Redirected the Credit Card billing to his address and used my immaculate rating to borrow money from many sources. Then of course I was Black Listed on Equifax as "potentially involved with fraud".

Equifax showed no debts in my name but I had moved house & back again to my actual address - it was the association of me, the similarly named fraudster & the address.
A 22 year old son was refused a mortgage outright due to his association with me!

It took 6+months to get Equifax & the Credit Card issuer to sort matters out.

It will be worth your while looking at the Consumer Credit Rating Businesses to find out if there are any Black Marks / ODD entries etc on your Rating.

Beware there are Monthly Report Contracts which cost ££ every month.
