The wife's car went bang then struggled to pull out of a junction in first gear.
No warning message, the other gears & reverse work fine.
I have searched the internet and others that have had problems where the bang occurred, and check gearbox message on the dash and the car went into limp mode. It turned out to be solenoids for them but ours doesn't do the same, just 1st gear has suddenly sstarted slipping badly.
Her car drives perfectly normally in all other gears apart from 1st where is revs high and hardly moves.
Any input? Sounds terminal to me so might be a scrapper. I have booked it into Renault to have a paid for diagnoses mid next week.
Shame, the car has been amazingly reliable in her 8 years of ownership. Every single thing on the car works perfectly.
